Nova Wallet, in partnership with Mercuryo and Mastercard, has launched the first debit card for the Polkadot ecosystem. This innovative financial product enables users to spend their DOT tokens seamlessly for everyday purchases, bridging the gap between digital assets and traditional finance.
The Nova x Mercuryo Mastercard Debit Card allows users to top up their cards using Polkadot (DOT) tokens, which are then converted into fiat currency for transactions. This functionality provides a practical use case for DOT holders, enhancing the utility and adoption of the Polkadot network.
To ensure responsible spending, the debit card imposes specific limits: a single transaction cap of €5,000, a daily limit of €10,000, and a monthly ceiling of €40,000.
