Hedera, Accenture, EQTY Lab Form Alliance to Govern Public AI with Blockchain

Hedera Foundation has unveiled a new partnership with Accenture and EQTY Lab to develop a blockchain-based governance framework for public sector AI deployments. The collaboration aims to provide immutable, auditable mechanisms for monitoring AI and generative models in government agencies.

The alliance integrates Hedera’s decentralized ledger technologies, such as its Consensus Service and Token Service, with EQTY Lab’s “Verifiable Compute” a tool that cryptographically certifies algorithmic outputs. Accenture’s role involves developing implementation templates and integrating the system into existing public sector workflows.

Bryan Rich of Accenture stated that as governments increasingly rely on AI, they also demand transparency, accountability, and reliability. This pilot approach will embed cryptographic records into public administration, helping ensure automated decisions can be traced and audited with confidence.

Equally pivotal are EQTY Lab’s modules, which Ledger the full lifecycle of model training, decision-making pathways, and data lineage creating tamper-evident timelines of AI activity. These can integrate into enterprise resource planning systems and broader ERP platforms across ministries, agencies, and institutions.

The pilot, launching later this year, will cover selected AI use cases such as resource allocation, healthcare decision support, and infrastructure planning. The outcome aims to define best practices, explore pricing models, and establish measurement standards for governments adopting AI.

This effort positions Hedera as a leading blockchain-for-governance network, potentially reshaping how public trust is built around AI systems. If successful, it could provide scalable tools for audits, regulatory compliance, and civic engagement in all countries deploying AI at scale.
