Anchorage Digital has upgraded its institutional grade custody wallet, Porto, by integrating Uniswap’s decentralized exchange functionality. This enhancement allows institutional clients to seamlessly conduct token swaps on Uniswap from within the secured wallet environment, eliminating the need to interact with external applications or protocols.
The integration grants users direct access to Uniswap liquidity pools across major chains such as Ethereum and Optimism. Features include optimal slippage control and the ability to execute trades without transferring assets out of custody. Transactions are signed through secure hardware mechanisms, in compliance with regulatory and internal policy frameworks.
Anchorage’s move merges regulated custody with decentralized finance access addressing a major barrier for institutions needing secure and compliant DeFi engagement. Market participants can now manage treasury operations, rebalance portfolios, or deploy assets in yield strategies while remaining within a centralized auditing and reporting structure.
As institutional crypto adoption continues, there is growing demand for custody solutions that offer both access to DeFi opportunities and firm security controls. Anchorage aims to position Porto as a pivotal platform that combines trust, efficiency, and compliance for professional investors.
