Anchorage Digital has launched a new stablecoin issuance platform in response to the newly passed GENIUS Act. Partnering with Ethena Labs, Anchorage will issue USDtb a dollar backed token within the United States under federal banking license compliance. The move positions Anchorage as one of the first federally regulated banks to support stablecoin issuance domestically, leveraging regulatory clarity from GENIUS to support compliant tokenized finance.
This platform ensures that issuers maintain full fiat reserves, implement AML/KYC protocols, and meet operational resilience requirements. Ethena’s governance token also saw a double digit price boost following the announcement, reflecting investor optimism.
The new issuance framework sets a standard for compliant stablecoin creation by established financial institutions. Industry insiders expect more issuers to approach banks like Anchorage for regulated issuance services. As demand for digital payment rails and tokenized assets increases, Anchorage’s platform may serve as a blueprint for bridging traditional finance and blockchain infrastructure.
